Crypto currencies down as Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin drop

Bitcoin Cash dropped 8.59% to $612.39, while Litecoin declined 9.80% to $237.60

All of the largest cryptocurrencies were down during morning trading on Tuesday, with Litecoin seeing the biggest change, declining 9.80% to $237.60.

Bitcoin Cash dropped 8.59% to $612.39, and Uniswap declined 8.41% to $22.03.

Dogecoin shed 8.41% to 24 cents on Tuesday, while Ripple dropped 5.77% to $1.11 and Polkadot lost 6.05% to $42.42.

Ethereum and Bitcoin declined 5.57% to $4,318.04 and 4.50% to $60,989.64 respectively.

Cardano posted the smallest drop with a 4.40% decline to $1.94.

XRP declined 4.20% to $1.07 and Uniswap lost 3.81% to $21.41. Of late, crypto prices have risen on the back of comments from billionaire Elon Musk and Ark Investment Management LLC's Cathie Wood.

In late July, Elon Musk said Tesla was "most likely" to start accepting bitcoin as payment again. The comment helped the cryptocurrency race past the $30,000 level.

The electric carmaker said in May that it would no longer accept the cryptocurrency for purchases. It's been a wild ride for bitcoin the last three years.

In crypto-related company news, shares of Coinbase Global Inc. lost 1.50% to $340.18, while MicroStrategy Inc. declined 3.70% to $765.60. Riot Blockchain Inc. shares tumbled 10.45% to $37.69, and shares of Marathon Digital Holdings Inc. shed 1.93% to $54.33.

Overstock.com Inc. lost 1.71% to $105.07, while Square Inc. advanced 0.92% to $235.18 and Tesla Inc. added 2.26% to $1,036.28.

PayPal Holdings Inc. rallied 1.28% to $215.26, and Ebang International Holdings Inc. shares shed 1.25% to $1.98. NVIDIA Corp. edged down 0.45% to $298.91, and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. added 1.28% to $147.65.

In the fund space, blockchain-focused Amplify Transformational Data Sharing dropped 2.29% to $59.35. The Bitwise Crypto Industry Innovators, which is focused on pure-play crypto companies, declined 3.88% to $31.71. Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, which tracks the Bitcoin market price, lost 3.71% to $49.28.
